2011 HOLDING MY HEART...for Breast Cancer
SOLD
In 2010 my wondeful friend, Angel, lost her battle with breast cancer.
In her honor I created several little snow "angels". One of which was donated for proceeds to go to the breast cancer fund this past November at the Prescott Victorian Holiday Boutique.
This one is listed on my AHA Marketplace website for January at http://www.ahaartistsstudio.com/.
~Holding My Heart~, Primitive Folk-Art, Snow Angel..
She's dressed in a grunged jumpsuit made with pink ribbon for Breast Cancer fabric. She sits holding a muslin, stuffed, painted pink, grunged heart. Her head, arms and legs are made of stuffed osnaburg muslin. All parts have two coats of paint, sanded, then grunged with coffee and cinnamon stain and sanded again. She measures 12.5 inches from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. String hanger in back for hanging and signed by doll creator.
Please note that this is an "extreme" primitive/folk-art doll...some stitches were just meant to be seen!
All of my creations come from a smoke-free enviroment.
